バージニア大学物理学科を卒業後、ロサンゼルスに移り、監督としての道を進む。2002年、南カリフォルニア大学のPeter Starkプログラムで美術学士号を取得後、2004年に同校を卒業。すぐにコロムビア映画で経験を積む。
After graduated with a degree in physisc, Brendan moved to LA to pursue a career in directing. In 2002, he was accepted into the USA Peter Stark Program and studied for two years, graduating with an MFA in 2004. He was mentored for 2 years by the Presidents of Production at Colombia Pictures.
