数十年前のブラジル。両親と弟のペドロと農村地帯に暮らす少女、ルジア。ペドロが学校に通うようことになり、自分も一緒に行きたいと望むがルジアだが、父は許してくれない。そこでルジアは秘密の勉強を始める…。
Some decades ago in Brazil, Luzia lives in the countryside with her parents and her brother Pedro. When her brother starts going to the school, the girl shows her desire to go with him, but her will is not respected. Repressed by her father, Luzia learns how to read using her own way.

Director / Cássio Pereira dos Santos
1980年生まれ。ブラジリア大学で映画製作を学ぶ。卒業後、教育テレビ局で助監督、プロデューサーとして活躍。初めての短編作品『For Times You Have Nothing To Say』は、国立芸術基金で最優秀脚本賞を受賞した。現在、短編と初めての長編映画制作に向け、脚本を準備中。
Born in 1980, Cássio Pereira studied filmmaking at University of Brasília. After graduating, he worked as assistant director and as a producer at an educational TV channel. His first short film, "For Times You Have Nothing To Say" won best script from the National Art Foundation. Currently he is preparing the script for another short film, as well as for his first feature film.
