Director / Gert Embrechts
電気技術の職を経て、建築業で働いた後、1987年に、ブリュッセルの映画学校で学ぶことを決意。93年にアシスタントディレクターとして働き始める。6年後、最初のショートフィルム「13」を製作、ヨーロッパおよび米国のいくつかの映画祭で受賞。本作は、新しく開発されたSony Cinealta高解像度カメラと35mmのプリントで複写されたもので、各国の映画祭で高い評価を受けた。
An electrician by trade, Gert Embrechts financed his studies at the Brussels film school by working on film sets as an electrician. He quickly got to know the Belgian film scene inside and out. Gert worked as assistant director for 6 years before making his first short, "13." After rain washed out most of the day scheduled to shoot "Vincent," Gert shot the entire film in the record time of exactly 12 hours.
