1975年4月20日、メキシコシティに生まれる。メキシコ国立自治大学にてコンピューター工学を学ぶ。現在彼は、制作会社Elemento Produccionesと契約し、ドキュメンタリーやテレビ番組、企業ビデオ、ビデオクリップ、テレビコマーシャルなどを制作している。本作『10:15』は、メキシコ映画協会主催の第5回国内短編映画コンクールの受賞作品。
Hugo Félix Mercado was born in Mexico City on April 20, 1975. He studied computer engineering at UNAM. Currently he works for Elemento Producciones, where he has made documentaries, television broadcasts, corporate videos, video clips and television commercials. His short film 10:15 won the Fifth National Contest of Short Film Projects held by the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE).
