地球は地球。人間のものでもなんでもない。地球の上に、ただ人間が作られただけのこと。しかしその人間たちが勝手に消費を重ね続け、やがては自分たちの生活、そして地球そのものに影響を与え始める…。
The Earth was on its own. Then man came along and added on to it. Consumption by man. Man on Earth. Wasting Earth. Man must face the consequences of his excessive consumption and is obligated to adopt methods that will change his lifestyle.

二人はグラフィックデザイン会社のインターンシップにて出会う。共にAcademia de Animação e Artes Digitaisにて2Dアニメーションを学び、Light Animation スタジオに就職、サンパウロ大学都市建築学部卒業し、卒業制作として本作品を共同制作。
Cassia and Celina met on an internship in a graphic design office. Both studied 2D Animation at Academia de Animação e Artes Digitais, worked at Lightstar Animation Studios, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at São Paulo University and made "Wasting Earth", an animated short as their graduation project.
